Point of Sale displays as well as audio-video demonstrations are a great way of converting prospects into customers.

Point of Sale Displays:

What you do inside your shop is just as important as what you do outside – you have to advertise your products just as hard. Work on your displays making them attractive, and if possible, interactive. Make tester bottles, or listening stations, or taste samples always available.

If people can experience the product without fear of being pressured, they will, and if they like it, they’ll buy.

Here are some useful hints and tips to achieve great Point of Sale (POS) Displays:

  • Make them bright and colorful to attract attention.
  • Use SELLING words that convey the benefits.
  • If possible, have a sampler people can try.

Audio & Video Sales Demonstrations:

Why do all the hard work yourself? Instead put your best sales spiel on tape (audio or video) and let it run continuously. People will stop and look, or tune in and listen.

You can also send these tapes in the mail before an appointment, or follow-up on the phone and sell directly.  That’s cheaper than a mobile sales representative.

Here are some useful hints and tips for setting up effective Audio & Video (A/V) Sales Demonstrations:

  • Invest in a quality recording or video tape – remember that YOU are on show.
  • Keep it simple and focus on the benefits of the product.
  • Send them out before an appointment so there’s already a sense of familiarity.
